I'm in the process of exploring and documenting the rivers and lakes of South East Queensland and these are some of my notes as I plan future paddling trips to the surrounding areas.

The Fraser Coast offers fantastic paddling opportunities, including the Mary River and sheltered ocean paddling in Hervey Bay and Great Sandy Strait. These waterways are protected by one of the largest sand islands in the world: K’gari (Fraser Island).
