Enoggera Dam

Access may be restricted due to low water levels, events or other safety concerns such as firefighting aircraft using the dam and surrounding areas.

Please check with Seqwater for the latest updates before heading out.

What to expect

The lake is about 1.5 km long and about 0.2 km wide. Water level and the health of the water lilies will dictate how far you can travel.

Features and facilities

The QLD Parks Information Center is open daily from 9.00am–4.30pm. Closed Christmas Day and open from 1.30pm ANZAC Day. The reservoir is open from 6am to 5:30pm. You can hire a kayak at Walkabout Creek Adventures or dine at the Walkabout Creek Cafe and Function Centre.

Little Black Cormorant (Phalacrocorax sulcirostris) often made up large flocks with occasional Little Pied Cormorants and Australasian Darters adding to the numbers.

Australasian swamphen (Porphyrio melanotus). The NZ Māori name of Pūkeko seems more fitting for such a colourful bird.
