Wide river above weir

What to expect?

I really don't know what to expect from the Warrego River, other than it being a remote river running through agricultural land although you can get a hint from the name, "river of sand" and the various ecological bioregions along the system.

Mulga and Brigalow shrublands dominate the northern dry, sandy catchment plains, with Acacia aneura (Mulga) and A. harpophylla (Brigalow) being the dominant species. The channel floodplain areas support cypress-pine woodlands of white cypress-pine (Callitris glaucophylla) and gidgee (A. cambagei).

The lower Warrego River has wetlands of national significance, and river red gum (Eucalyptus camaldulensis), coolibah (E. coolabah), and river cooba (A. stenophylla) are common along the waterways. The remnant vegetation is considered to be in a healthy condition. I expect to find patches of Lignum (Duma florulenta sym. Muehlenbeckia florulenta) around the lower sections, especially around the dams and deeper waterholes.
