Hazards

Selected hazards along the system

This expands on the weir information to include causeways, bridges, rapids, gauge controls, etc. This generally excludes fences, power lines and natural hazards such as trees and it only includes hazards that I have personally reported or researched and may miss many others. (i.e. it is not exclusive!)

Many hazards are dependant on the flow. Many low bridges and weirs wash out during a flood while high bridges that are usually clear of the water become hazards in a high flow.

Many of these hazards can be hard to see from a distance, stay alert.
